Terms of Service

1. Free service
ChronoBoxes is currently free to use. There is no subscription or required checkout. A normal ChronoBox may include a message, opening date, optional gates, up to six images and one supported video within the published file-size limits.
2. Opening date and storage
A normal ChronoBox can be scheduled to open no later than 6 months from creation. From the opening date, server-stored content may remain available for up to 90 additional days and may then be deleted automatically. The creator can delete it earlier through the private management link.
3. Text-only links
For normal boxes without uploaded media, content may be encrypted in the browser and embedded in the private link. If the complete link is lost or altered, ChronoBoxes cannot recover that content.
4. Optional support
Users may optionally support the project through the external ChronoBoxes page on Ko-fi. A tip is voluntary and does not purchase, unlock, prioritize or extend any ChronoBox feature, storage period or service level.
5. Responsibility for content
The creator confirms that they may use and share the text, images and videos included. Unlawful, defamatory, threatening, privacy-infringing, intellectual-property-infringing content and malicious files are prohibited.
6. Availability and backups
ChronoBoxes is not permanent cloud storage. Keep independent backups of important media. The service may be affected by hosting, connectivity, browser compatibility, maintenance or third-party failures.
7. Changes
ChronoBoxes may change limits or features prospectively. Changes do not remove rights that mandatory law grants to users.
