Normal ChronoBox
Write a message, choose a future opening date up to six months away and optionally add a secret question or location gate. You can also add up to six photos and one video at no charge.
How ChronoBoxes works
Choose an experience, prepare the content, set the opening time or optional gates and share the private link. ChronoBoxes is free.
Text-only privacy
If you create a normal box without uploaded media, its content can be encrypted in your browser and carried inside the private link rather than stored as a server-side media capsule.
Photos and video
Uploaded files are stored on the server because they cannot practically fit inside a private URL. The box can be scheduled to open up to six months from creation and may remain available for up to 90 days after opening. Keep backups of important media.
Treasure hunt
Create a final treasure, define several clues and distribute the digital keys. The final message appears when all required keys have been entered.
Collaborative and Secret Santa
The first participant creates the box and passes the private link. Each contribution generates a new link for the next person. When the planned number of contributions is reached, the final opening experience is prepared for the recipient.
Optional support
ChronoBoxes does not charge to create a box. If the project has been useful, you can optionally support ChronoBoxes on Ko-fi. Support does not unlock or change features.
